My family story

This is a story about my family in the year I was born. Let me talk about it slowly.

In 1993, my father had finished his doctoral dissertation, and later, I was born, my father was happy to have a daughter. According him, Mom and he couldn’t have a child, they found many ways, saw many doctors, but no one could tell them why. After five years, Mom conceived. When she told Father about this, they both felt happy.

Although my Dad was graduated from a research station, he still had to serve in the military, so he left his family, went to army. He didn’t stayed at army for too long, because his eyesight wasn’t very good, so he left the army one month later.

He came back home and soon found a job, started to learn to be a good husband and good father. One day, our apartment to be cought a fire, we lost many financial affairs, but all family members were safe.

This was an astonishing year, I was born, and my Dad finished his dissertation and found a job. Most of all, we escaped an accident, and later found a new house, which we have lived till now. I thank God for His Grace, and hope he can keep living with us.

Death of the goddess – Audrey Hepburn

On 20th January, 1993, a beautiful woman died. People all of the world were lament her death. She was Audrey Hepburn (4 May 1929(1929-05-04) – 20 January 1993). The movies for she acted like Roman Holiday (1953) or My Fair Lady (1964) were still liked by many people.

Audrey Hepburn was born in Brussels, Belgium. Her father, John Victor Hepburn-Ruston, was a British banker, and her mother, Ella van Heemstra, was a Dutch.

From 1935 to 1938, Audrey studied in a British boarding school. In 1935, her parents were divorced and her father left his family. Later in 1939, her mother moved her and her two half-brothers to their grandfather’s home in Arnhem in the Netherland. In the same year, she studied in Arnhem Conservatory to learn ballet until 1945.

In Nazi occupancy during World War II, Audrey and her family were forced to suffer from hunger. Long time of dystrophy made her body gaunt. Nevertheless, she kept learning ballet, even though her family was so poor that they couldn’t offored better bullet shoes.

After World War II, Audrey and her Mother went to London to find jobs. To solve economical problem, she started working as a model, and performed in a song and dance ensemble. This experience gave her many chances to show in dramas and also movies.

In 1953, the movie “Roman Holiday” she acted cause a great sensation in the world, than she became a house hold name because of the movies.

In her elderly life, she went to Africa to help local children. Maybe the experience of going through the war made her vary empathetic and sympathetic,. Once she said ” Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you’ll find them at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.”

Audrey Hepburn was not only a beautiful woman, but also has a beautiful heart, and I think is not easy to find a person like her to this day. Although she was dead, her act of helping people would be remembered forever.

A Day with Dad

My parents are divorced. When I was a child, I spent every other weekend with my father, Mike. One Saturday, we decided to go to a beach. Moreover, our former neighbors, the Simpson’s, were plan to go to beach, either. We waved hello and spent the time together. Jimmy Simpson, the Simpson’s son, invited me to play with him. Although I refused him, I felt regret to this day, he was a fascinating boy, and I like to built a sand castle, too. I covered dad with sand, he was matched up to let me play on him. Mr. Simpson finds a spot for them on the crowded beach. Some people in the crowd sunbathe to get a tan, and other people swim and play in the water, some even listen to the radio pr pick up shells. When everyone was hungry, Dad puts on s chef’s hat and cooked hot dogs and hamburgers, I was glad to have a father who is a cooker, especially when I was hungry. Jane, Jimmy’s sister said that the food Dad made was delicious, Dad was happy to be admired. Kites and birds fly over the picnic, everyone ate the food while chatting with other, some children enjoyed watching the kite. We kept eating until the sky started to become dark, than we cleaned up and waved goodbye to each other, finished a happy day.

To these days, I still remembered the happy moment we had with the Simpson’s.

Picture Story:My junior school classmates, I miss you.

Last three years on Nov. 10, I was in eighth grade, my classmates and I went to camping together., and we had a fun time there.

We are try to cook by ourselves, although it is the first time, we still do the good job.

In picture 1, these are my classmates. We have five people in the team, but I’m not in the picture, because my work is take picture for them and eat the food we make. We used sauce to make the food more delicious, but there was one thing we didn’t do well, the vegetables wasn’t clean enough before we used, so finished products look so dirty, we even had no courage to try some. (Picture 2 is the finished products.)

Three best things about Me

Accroding to an online personality test, I know I am a “peacemaker,” it says that I am gentle, reliable but not good at cooperation with others. I think it is right, I can take good care of animals and children, I also can support any activity which is organized by others, and give as much help as I could. But if you want me to be an organizer, maybe I will tell you I can try. However, before long, you will find another one to replace me. Although I am not good at organize, I still have three best things.

First, I am hard-working. Even the missions I encounter are not easy to do, I still try on find as possible.This proves I am reliable in the first part.
Second, I can take care of animals and children. I like animals and children, and I enjoy play with them. I also can get along with a child who I never see before.
Last, I like to learn with a modest heart. I am not perfect, so I want to improve myself with an open mind, and hope I can be a better person. And I guest now I have to learn is how to listen and talk that can make me cooperate with partners.

How My Parents Met

    Every couple had their story, and so did my parents. Although their story wasn’t dramatic like movies or romantic like Romeo and Juliet, it still has value to remember, because it was my parents’ story!
    When my mother was a student of Chung Shan Medical University, she joined a church voluntary team to serve some children in Nanto. At the same time, a predecessor suggested my father, who was a freshman in National Chung Hsing University. This was his chance to work with my mother. Even though they belonged to the same team, but when Dad attended, Mom didn’t come, and when Mom appeared, Dad was absent. This strange situation lasted for about half of year, until summer vacation.
    In the summer vacation, Mom had a test in physics, Dad noticed that Mom had a big problem in physics, so he gave her some physics notes he made. Mom was surprised that a stranger was willing to share his note with her. To her delight, she got , good grades with his help. After this event, they became good friends and often worked together in the team.
    One day, Dad invited Mom go to Tung Hai University with him. Mom agreed. They had a happy moment in Tung Hai University, and it was they first time they went on a date.
    That night, Dad thought about an idea what he had kept in mind for a long time. He plucked up his courage, and asked Mom “Do you want to be my girlfriend? ” Mom smiled and answered, “ Sure. I expect you to become a good boyfriend.”
    Of course Dad was a good boyfriend, and it proves that he is a good husband and a good father as well.
